Ultra Maritime seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical architecture and deliver robust solutions for complex naval systems. You will work across disciplines, drive design artefacts, and support customers from development through service.

The role supports flexible working, with hybrid on-site options at our sites in the UK, and requires SC level security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience across the full project lifecycle delivering mechanical solutions.
• Hands-on design of complex systems with multi-disciplinary awareness.
• Security clearance SC or eligibility to obtain it.

Responsabilités

• Define and manage mechanical architecture and requirements.
• Develop robust mechanical solutions for complex systems.
• Create and peer-review design artefacts and data packs.
• Analyse predicted mechanical behaviours and performance.
• Develop test solutions and procedures for verification.
• Lead mechanical integration, verification, and testing.
• Prepare technical solutions and estimates for stakeholders.
• Provide in-service and production support to customers.
• Act as Project Engineering Lead or Work Package Manager.
• Contribute to process and tool improvements.
• Support bids and proposals with technical input and plans.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.
