Job summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own mechanical architecture across complex naval systems. You will develop and document robust mechanical solutions, create artefacts, and lead verification activities while coordinating with stakeholders and senior engineers.

The role requires experience across the full lifecycle, familiarity with Creo/Inventor, and eligibility for SC security clearance. A hybrid/remote-friendly setup is supported, with strong emphasis on delivering on time and

Qualifications

Degree-level education or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Define and manage mechanical architecture, system and sub-system requirements.
Develop, document, and deliver robust mechanical solutions.
Create and peer-review technical artefacts: design docs, data packs, analyses, plans.
Analyse and document predicted mechanical behaviours and performance.
Develop mechanical test solutions and procedures for verification.
Lead mechanical integration, verification, and acceptance testing.
Prepare and present technical solutions and estimates to stakeholders.
Provide in-service and production support to customers.
Act as Project Engineering Lead or Work Package Manager when required.
Coach and mentor junior engineers.
