Job summary

Bryden Wood in London and St Albans seeks experienced Principal Mechanical Engineers to lead on flagship data centre and infrastructure projects. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, direct client engagement, and deliver high‑quality, sustainable designs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in mechanical/building services engineering, are Chartered or on track for Chartership, and bring BIM proficiency (Revit/Navisworks) and strong leadership. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or building services engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or on track for chartership is preferred.
• Experience leading mechanical design within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design across RIBA stages for data centres and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and clients to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and manage delivery of design across projects.
