Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Building Services Design Consultant Engineering team in Croydon. Lead MEP and multi-disciplinary teams on small to large projects and guide the mechanical discipline on major UK, European and worldwide programs.

Design experience in heating and cooling pipework, ventilation and control systems is essential. You will train junior engineers, work with clients and architects, and operate with BIM and Revit tools across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or building services engineering or related discipline, ideally Chartered or pursuing Chartered status.
• BPSS or SC security clearance preferred
• UK National status preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage small project teams on small projects.
• Lead as discipline lead on mid-to-large projects and advise on design.
• Provide technical input and direction for studies and design efforts.
• Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in building services and BIM workflows.
• Ensure coordination with Architects, Cost Consultants and other design disciplines.
