The Belfast office are looking for an Principal Mechanical Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to join their established team based in Belfast.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, client-facing Engineer to take a leading role on a variety of exciting projects across Northern Ireland. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-motivated, confident individual with team leadership skills, able to deliver high-profile projects to the highest standards.

What you’ll do!

1. Maintain Client relationships with several key clients.
2. Undertake quality checks and promote technical excellence.
3. Be accountable for the team's results and adherence to agreed-upon budget.
4. Act as a mentor to other staff and promote CPD activities.
5. Carry out risk assessments and value engineering.
6. Contribute to and provide information for fee proposals.

Requirements:

1. Extensive experience in mechanical building services design.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of market sectors.
3. The ability to provide technically sound design solutions.
4. Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients.
5. Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
6. Relevant experience in Electrical Engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles.
