Job summary

Gazelle Global Consulting Limited is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead Java microservices development in Edinburgh. You will work within a technical delivery team, shaping secure, scalable and maintainable enterprise applications throughout design, implementation, testing and production support.

The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the office, on a 6-month contract with an excellent day rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java/J2EE development in enterprise settings.
• Strong background in microservices architecture and Spring Boot.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy and support Java microservices.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, product owners and engineers.
• Promote engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
