Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead change within Global Technology Asset Management. You will mentor juniors, shape architecture, and deliver firmwide Java-based solutions while collaborating in an agile team.

You will drive AI-enabled development workflows, set guardrails for security and resiliency, participate in architecture discussions, and ensure delivery excellence across multiple technologies and applications.

Qualifications

Must demonstrate end-to-end SDLC expertise including design, development, testing and operations.
Proficient in modern programming languages and database querying.
Server-side development with Java/SpringBoot.
Experience on at least one cloud platform (AWS) with integration technologies (GraphQL, REST).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD, security and agile practices.
Experience leading adoption of AI-enabled development practices with governance and auditability.
Understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows and risk governance.
Background in CS/CE/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders to translate complex problems into technical specifications and drive implementation.
Lead technical meetings to influence architecture and product decisions.
Architect and govern AI-enabled engineering workflows with guardrails for security and resiliency.
Design and implement secure, high-quality Java solutions and review code end-to-end.
Utilize SDLC tools and enterprise AI-assisted development to improve automation and delivery.
Support products through their life cycle, including production and incident management.
Contribute to communities of practice and explore new technologies.
Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, and respect.
