Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking an IT Principal Engineer to lead the Colleague Technology Platform. You will shape the Microsoft 365 stack, identity and device platforms, and provide architectural direction for a large team of engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will influence workplace technology, drive security and resilience, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable colleague experiences.

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and identity platforms.
• Hands-on experience with security, identity governance, and device compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across M365, identity and end-user computing.
• Define and enforce best-practice standards for security, device management and software deployment.
• Lead on software lifecycle governance and licensing compliance.
• Mentor engineers and uplift M365 and end-user computing capabilities.
