The Principal Industry Consultant - Google Cloud will lead the engineering relationship between Endava and Google Cloud Partner team in the UK. This strategic role focuses on promoting Endava's Google Cloud capabilities, driving new business opportunities through partner channels, and directly engaging with clients in a billable and sales support capacity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Google Cloud Partnership &Technical Excellence Development: Cultivate and manage Google Cloud Partner Engineering relationship to drive co-sell opportunities. Promote Endava's success stories and offerings within Google to enhance market visibility and partnership growth. Secure partner funding and ensure Endava maintains key Google Cloud accreditations and specializations. Support other regions as appropriate.
  • Client-Facing Technical Leadership (60% Billable): Lead technical pre-sales engagements with prospective clients, demonstrating Endava's expertise. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the crucial initial phases of multiple client projects, ensuring successful project kickoff and alignment with client needs. This role requires working across various projects, avoiding dedication to a single engagement.
  • Engineering Team & Offering Development: Mentor and guide Google Cloud engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence. Develop innovative cloud solutions and technology roadmaps based on market trends and Google Cloud advancements. Contribute expert input to proposals, SOWs, and RFI/RFP responses.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven ability to own and drive the Google Cloud Platform business specifically within the UK region.
  • Established deep connections/networks within Google Cloud, either directly with Google or through Google Cloud Partners.
  • Proven ability to lead technical pre-sales, act as a client-facing SME, and foster strong client relationships.
  • Strong technical expertise across the Google Cloud stack and experience delivering complex cloud projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing technology roadmaps, innovative solutions, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Excellent understanding of Google Cloud partner programs, incentives, and GTM strategies, coupled with outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills to develop and grow the business in a competitive market. Typically educated to bachelor's degree level, holds a relevant professional qualification, and may have a postgraduate qualification such as an MSc, MBA, or other appropriate business, engineering, scientific, or industry qualification.
  • Has recognized expertise in one or more Google Cloud Certifications, the technology involved, current developments, the most commonly available products, and the application of the specialism within a technical or business environment. Has a sound, broad knowledge of IT and an excellent understanding of how the technical specialism relates to other areas of IT and how it impacts on other business functions. Can influence at all levels of the organization. Has leadership skills and can manage a team.
