Job summary

Baltimore Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Principal Health & Safety Coordinator for a 6-month initial contract, with immediate start. The role offers hybrid working in the South West and a daily rate of £400, Inside IR35 via umbrella.

You will lead CDM compliance across construction, housing and maintenance projects, conduct site inspections, investigations and risk reviews, and support the Construction Safety Manager to drive a strong safety culture from day one.

Qualifications

• Strong H&S experience in construction, housing, property or maintenance environments.
• Deep knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction safety management.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and contractor performance reviews.
• Ability to challenge, influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ Level 5/6 Health & Safety or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on CDM Regulations, construction safety and compliance

• Support accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions

Are you an experienced Principal Health & Safety Coordinator looking for your next interim challenge? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Construction Safety Team and play a pivotal role in supporting the safe delivery of maintenance, refurbishment and capital works programmes across a diverse property portfolio.

As Principal Health & Safety Coordinator, you will be at the heart of driving compliance, influencing positive safety behaviours and ensuring statutory obligations are met across a wide range of construction-related projects. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and senior stakeholders, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact from day one.

Your Role as Principal Health & Safety Coordinator:

• Demonstrable knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction safety management
• Experience undertaking audits, inspections and contractor performance management
• Ability to confidently challenge, influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ Level 5/6 Health & Safety qualification or equivalent professional accreditation
