By joining us, you will work daily with technical experts within our established Environmental Impact (EIA) team, which comprises over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland.

As a national team, we offer flexible office locations, including offices in Basingstoke, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Chesterfield, Croydon, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London Aldgate, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, St Albans, Warrington, and a flexible hybrid working model.

This position offers an opportunity to manage environmental inputs to large-scale development projects, including:

  • Energy generation projects (carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, renewables)
  • Energy distribution and transmission projects
  • Carbon capture pipelines
  • Strategic rail projects
  • Highway improvements and greenway projects
  • Regeneration projects
  • Developments in ecommerce, minerals, waste, water, defense, aviation, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expertise: Managing environmental inputs for EIA reports, assessments, and supporting documents across all project stages, working on various consenting regimes.
  • Ensuring quality: Deliverables meet high standards and compliance with quality management procedures.
  • Project management: Managing resources and budgets effectively.
  • Collaboration: Working with design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identifying impacts and mitigation opportunities.
  • Client contact: Managing relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Growth: Promoting environmental services and leading business development efforts.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs to infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of EIA processes, assessment methods, and planning legislation.
  • Knowledge of consenting and licensing regimes.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Teamwork and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical review skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Degree in environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and professional membership.
  • Willingness to travel.

Preferred:

  • Chartered Environmentalist status.
  • Interest in management and mentoring.
  • Experience with DCO and TWAO regimes.
