As a national team, we offer flexible office locations, including offices in Basingstoke, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Chesterfield, Croydon, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London Aldgate, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, St Albans, Warrington, and a hybrid working model.

This position offers an opportunity to manage environmental inputs to large-scale development projects across various sectors such as energy, infrastructure, regeneration, and more.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Provide Expertise: Manage environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping reports, assessments, Environmental Statements, and related documents. Involved in all project stages from early strategy to operation, across multiple consenting regimes.
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards and compliance with quality management procedures.
  • Project Management: Manage resources and budgets effectively, with support as needed.
  • Collaborate: Work within design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify constraints, and develop mitigation and benefits.
  • Client Contact: Manage client relationships and internal teams.
  • Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services, identify business opportunities, and develop proposals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs to infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of EIA processes, environmental assessment methods, and planning legislation.
  • Knowledge of consenting and licensing regimes.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Team collaboration and technical review skills.
  • Project management experience, including programming and budgeting.
  • Degree in environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and professional membership.
  • Willingness to travel.

Bonus skills include:

  • Chartered Environmentalist status.
  • Interest in management and mentoring.
  • Experience with DCO or TWAO regimes.
