Job summary

The Financial Times is seeking a Principal Engineer – Integration Services to establish and lead its shared integration capabilities across Internal Products. You will own the technical direction, engineering capability, people leadership and delivery of reusable services that connect multiple teams, platforms and domains.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Principal Engineer or senior engineering leadership role.
• Experience designing, building and operating enterprise integration capabilities at scale.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture, APIs, event-driven systems, messaging, data flows and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical direction for integration services across Internal Products.
• Establish principles, standards and reusable patterns for enterprise integration.
• Develop a strategy for shared integration capabilities balancing centralisation, reuse and domain autonomy.
• Provide senior technical leadership across major transformation programmes.
• Lead and develop the engineers within Integration Services.
