Responsibilities

1. Specify and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platform or programmes.
2. Providing support to the Engineering Manager and/or external specialists in providing transversal support to engineering delivery teams in defining electromagnetic requirements.
3. Undertaking specialist testing of systems, subsystems, and components in support of achieving contractual compliance for EMC design.
4. Ensuring completed product qualification testing is completed.
5. Advising design teams on EMC requirements and design considerations.
6. Liaising with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
7. Designing and implementing system mitigation to meet EMC standards.
8. Mentoring and coaching Engineers within the team.

Experience required:

1. Hold a BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent qualification.
2. Ideally be professional registration at the Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.
3. Experience of design for EMC compliance.
4. Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage. (Def Stan 59- pt 3)
5. Proven experience and ability to coach, train, and mentor others in a team.
6. Be eligible to obtain UK security clearance at SC level.
