In this dynamic role, you'll analyze and mitigate major internal hazards like fire, explosion, and hazardous atmospheres, ensuring submarine and crew safety. Collaborating with engineering teams, you'll craft safety cases using advanced techniques, contribute to design reviews, and modifications.

As a subject matter expert, you'll lead risk assessments and hazard analysis, develop safety strategies, and have opportunities to publish technical papers, shaping submarine safety's future.

Join our team to utilize your skills in a vital, challenging environment where each project is significant and every day offers the chance to make history.

Remote work with onsite visits 1-2 times per month.

Typical duties include:

  1. Undertaking HAZID/HAZAN during the safety lifecycle.
  2. Contributing to submarine design in concept and modifications to ensure internal hazard safety.
  3. Serving as a subject matter expert in safety at design review meetings and peer reviews.
  4. Developing safety case reports.
  5. Conducting risk and ALARP assessments.
  6. Producing and reviewing technical safety papers.
  7. Liaising with engineering stakeholders on safety matters.
  8. Developing and maintaining safety processes and risk strategies.
