Job Description

Are you ready to shape the future of water infrastructure? We’re looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Water Solutions team in Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, or Plymouth. You’ll contribute to major water and wastewater projects across the South West, supporting frameworks such as AMP8 and AMP9, and working on schemes ranging from rural sites to large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and review electrical and ICA components in water infrastructure projects, providing technical advice.
  2. Produce and review client deliverables, make technical decisions, and identify when specialist input is needed.
  3. Manage project packages and assess design resources within the discipline.
  4. Prepare technical specifications.
  5. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure buy-in and contribute to AECOM’s technical capabilities.
  6. Mentor junior staff and oversee technical work.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale water engineering projects.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • BEng or MEng in a related field; Chartered Member of a Professional Institution.
