Job summary

Stantec seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical/EICA design for Scotland's water and wastewater infrastructure. Based in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Inverness, you’ll mentor engineers, govern design quality and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, resilient solutions.

You will champion innovation, contribute to bids and grow the Electrical Engineering capability within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, or working towards registration.
• Significant experience delivering electrical/EICA design in water or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery across complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across water and wastewater projects from concept to construction support.
• Lead electrical and EICA design for treatment works and pumping stations.
• Govern design quality, governance and engineering guidance throughout projects.
• Develop and review key deliverables such as SLDs, cable diagrams, and control philosophies.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
