Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead EICA design across Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure, delivering from concept through construction support in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Inverness. You’ll provide technical direction across complex projects and help grow the electrical engineering capability within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or working towards registration.
• Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA design in water, utilities or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery across complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical standards, design processes and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA design solutions across infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical governance, design assurance and engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and review deliverables including SLDs, BCDs, NIDs, specs and control philosophies.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to bids and framework opportunities.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement across Electrical Engineering.
