Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Glasgow or Edinburgh, delivering electrical and EICA designs across water and wastewater projects.

Working with experienced multidisciplinary teams, you’ll contribute from concept through construction, develop your technical expertise, and support resilient infrastructure that serves communities across Scotland and the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical engineering design within water, infrastructure, utilities or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design standards.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical and EICA design from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Produce electrical calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
• Support development of technical specifications, control philosophies and equipment schedules.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops and site visits.
• Continue to develop technical knowledge through mentoring and structured career development.
