Job summary

Hoare Lea in Bristol is seeking a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Bristol office. You will deliver electrical design across a variety of buildings and work with a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and mentoring junior engineers, with opportunities to influence projects from concept to delivery within a collaborative, supportive and high-performing environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering electrical design on complex projects.
Experience with BIM, Revit, Dialux/Relux and related software.
Strong client/architect collaboration in a design consultancy.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors.
Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery. This is a client-facing role, so you will be attending project meetings and disseminating / translating the brief within the project team.
Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
