About The Role

We have a new opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer based in our Bournemouth or Reading offices.

Bournemouth: with over 45 years of experience, we have developed significant expertise and long-term relationships locally and beyond.

Reading: a thriving town experiencing exponential growth, supporting major projects like Station Hill and fostering connections with like-minded professionals.

We seek candidates with experience in commercial, residential, and mission-critical projects. As a Principal Engineer, you will support and deliver designs for various project types and sizes, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality service, client satisfaction, and business growth.

You can expect to:

• Manage the technical delivery of electrical design services across multiple sectors.
• Develop strategic concepts aligned with project briefs and standards.
• Engage with stakeholders, attend meetings, and communicate effectively within the team.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Mentor and support junior staff, including apprentices and graduates.

About You

To succeed, you will need:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with a track record in complex projects.
• Experience with technical delivery processes and software such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, and Relux.
• Experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in a consultancy role.
• Self-awareness, openness, and a collaborative spirit.
• Experience supporting others’ professional development.
