Mattinson Partnership, on behalf of an award-winning environmental consultancy, is seeking an experienced Principal EIA Consultant to join teams in Leeds and Bristol. You will lead multidisciplinary EIA projects across transport, energy and infrastructure and drive environmental inputs from strategy through to planning.
You will coordinate specialists, engage with clients and regulators, manage budgets and deadlines, and mentor junior staff while supporting bids and business development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious environmental professional to take a leading role on high-profile projects across sectors including transport, renewable energy and infrastructure, while working alongside a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team.
As a Principal EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in coordinating environmental inputs for major EIA projects, supporting clients from the early stages of strategy and feasibility through to design, consenting and the discharge of planning conditions.
You will work closely with internal technical specialists, designers, clients and external consultants to ensure environmental considerations are embedded into project design and decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include leading and coordinating complex, multidisciplinary EIA projects, managing environmental inputs into major infrastructure and development proposals, and providing strategic environmental advice throughout the project lifecycle.
You will prepare and manage EIA screening and scoping documentation, consultation materials and Environmental Statements, while working across a range of consenting projects including, Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Town and Country Planning.
