Renesas is seeking an experienced Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to provide technical leadership for our global engineering compute and design-data-management environment. You will lead compute infrastructure, Perforce/IPLM-based data management, automation and documentation to support distributed design teams.

Responsibilities include engineering compute environments, data management, project/workspace standards, and training.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering or semiconductor design infrastructure.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or similar enterprise version-control.
• Methodics IPLM or equivalent IP lifecycle-management experience.
• Experience with semiconductor EDA workflows.
• Strong Python and/or shell scripting skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Ability to work across engineering and IT/infrastructure teams.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Develop scalable Linux-based engineering environments.
• Define compute, storage and infrastructure requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to meet design requirements.
• Support migration and consolidation of legacy environments.
• Troubleshoot complex CAD and infrastructure issues.
• Lead Perforce/IPLM design-data-management methodologies.
• Integrate Perforce/IPLM with EDA tools.
• Develop data-management best practices.
• Create reusable project and workspace environments.
• Develop automation with Python and shell scripts.
• Maintain documentation and training materials.
• Shape the roadmap for compute and data-management infra.
• Evaluate new technologies for data management.
