Jacobs in the UK seeks a Principal Ecologist or Associate Director to lead the Birmingham ecology team and contribute to UK-wide leadership across water, transport and energy infrastructure.

You will combine strategic leadership with technical excellence, mentor colleagues, manage key client relationships, and guide projects from EIA to Biodiversity Net Gain. This is a high-visibility role with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Strong background in terrestrial ecology.
• Chartered status or ready to achieve it.
• Strategic mindset with senior leadership contribution.
• Proven line-management, mentoring and team development skills.
• Excellent client-facing skills; comfortable engaging with regulators.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Birmingham ecology team and contribute to UK-wide leadership.
• Provide high-quality advice to clients, stakeholders and regulators.
• Build strong relationships through client and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee ecological monitoring, EIA, habitats regulations assessments and biodiversity strategies.
• Identify, bid for and win new work; promote the team’s capabilities externally.
