Job summary

Natural Power, based in Inverness, Scotland, seeks a Principal Ecologist to lead our Ecology & Hydrology team within the Consenting & Environment Department. The role involves coordinating multiple complex projects across the UK and Ireland, delivering EIAs and biodiversity plans, and supporting client engagement.

Hybrid working from Inverness or other UK locations is available. Ideal candidates will have habitat management expertise, ECoW/EnvCoW experience, and a track record of business

Qualifications

• Experience with habitat management and Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW/EnvCoW) is essential.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience writing/reviewing EIAs, HRAs and biodiversity enhancement plans/HMPs.

Responsibilities

• Manage several complex projects for renewable energy clients.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to progress projects.
• Write/review EIAs, HRAs and biodiversity plans/HMPs.
• Support business development activities.
• Provide staff training and line management.
