Job summary

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure Ltd is seeking a dynamic Principal EC&I Engineer to lead our most exciting projects across Nuclear, Defence, New Build, and Infrastructure. You will provide top-notch technical leadership, working with high-profile clients in a challenging regulatory environment.

The role requires 10+ years in EC&I design and management, with expertise in two areas such as Control Systems and Functional Safety.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Deliver: Guide EC&I engineering teams in delivering innovative solutions for complex projects.
• Plan & Prioritize: Shape project plans, prioritizing Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
• Design Reviews: Act as Lead Engineer, overseeing design reviews, technical discussions, and formal evaluations.
• Support & Collaborate: Provide expert advice, supporting both staff and clients through technical challenges.
• Mentor & Motivate: Mentor team members, set objectives, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Optimize: Ensure projects stay on budget and aligned with schedules, working closely with Project Managers.
• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact, coordinating with clients throughout each project.
