Job summary

Assystem is seeking an Engineering Manager for the EC&I department within the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. You will coordinate and lead projects across EC&I, overseeing systems vital to nuclear safety, and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong EC&I background with safety-critical programme experience and a degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in EC&I design and management across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of highly regulated industries and control systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering; advanced degrees a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop EC&I technical programmes covering the entire product lifecycle.
• Plan tasks meticulously, accounting for dependencies from other areas.
• Foster seamless collaboration across work areas to deliver integrated solutions.
• Monitor tasks and manage budgets for EC&I programmes.
• Identify resource gaps and assist in crafting resourcing strategies with the Chief Design Engineer.
• Track programme costs, budgets, and forecast variances.
• Manage contract staff and resource allocation.
• Oversee risk management for programme threats and opportunities.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects.
