Mansfield District Council is seeking a Principal Development Management Officer to lead major and complex planning applications, guide developers and stakeholders, and shape sustainable growth in line with the Local Plan and regeneration priorities.

You’ll also develop and manage a skilled team, support senior leaders in setting strategic direction, and represent the council at committees and inquiries as required. This is a senior role with significant impact on Mansfield’s future.

As our Principal Development Management Officer, you’ll play a leading role in delivering high quality development across the district. You’ll take ownership of complex and high profile planning applications, guide developers and stakeholders, and help ensure sustainable growth that aligns with our long term ambitions.

You’ll also support and develop a dedicated team, helping build capability and driving performance, while working closely with senior leaders to shape the strategic direction of development management.
