Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead the delivery of CDM and construction safety services across complex, high-value projects in the UK.

The role demands autonomy, ownership of PD duties, and strong client and design-team engagement to manage health and safety risks through the project lifecycle. You will influence CDM delivery across RIBA Stages 2–5, shape the service offering, and contribute to the growth of WSP’s safety practice.

Qualifications

• Extensive CDM/construction safety experience with PD appointments.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Safety Act.
• Ability to lead design risk workshops and advise clients on statutory duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of CDM Principal Designer duties across multiple projects.
• Chair design risk workshops and coordinate meetings.
• Provide client advice on CDM and Building Safety Act duties.
• Oversee PCI, hazard logs, and HSF quality.
• Mentor junior and senior consultants.
