Job Description:

Urgently looking for a Principal Designer (Building Regulations) for a full-time position in London.

We seek an experienced Principal Designer with expertise in Building Regulations to manage the design and delivery of large-scale office, workspace, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Architecture, Engineering, Design, Health and Safety, or Project Management.

The PD(BR) role focuses on planning, managing, coordinating, and monitoring Building Regulations compliance. It may suit experienced technical architects, architectural technologists, design managers, plans checkers, or those with experience delivering Principal Designer services under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Requirements include:

• Over 8 years of project delivery experience as a Principal Designer.
• Demonstrable experience in leading and managing design development, including Building Regulations compliance and Health and Safety planning.
• Planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety aspects during the pre-construction phase.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
• Pre-Construction Information management, including gathering and providing relevant information to designers and contractors.
• Health and Safety File management.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations.
• Liaison with the Principal Contractor.
