Job summary

Williams Racing is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Design Quality team, working with the Head of Engineering Operations to raise design methodology, process and governance to industry-leading standards across Vehicle Engineering.

You will manage a team of engineers, own a defined slice of the Design Quality remit, map and document optimum processes, and ensure they stay current as needs evolve with FIA regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering engineering processes from concept to embedded practice.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience coaching and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality, productivity and delivery of your group's work.
• Deliver new tools and processes to support the Design Office and wider organisation.
• Lead ongoing process mapping and maintain the integrity of every process and procedure you implement.
• Lead and coach your team, owning performance reviews and development plans for direct reports.
• Act as the key liaison across the design lifecycle value stream with Manufacturing, Quality, Parts and Logistics, and the Race Team.
