Job summary

Williams F1 Team seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to safeguard the quality of all purchased parts—metallic, composite, electronic, and precision‑machined—ensuring they arrive first time right and withstand F1 racing challenges.

You will build strong supplier relationships, drive continuous improvement, and eliminate risks that could affect car performance or reliability, while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and race teams to meet exacting specifications.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Quality degree required.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills essential.
  • Experience in high‑tech, motorsport, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier audits (system, process, product) per ISO/IPC standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality SOPs, standards documents, and QMS procedures.
  • Validate components using APQP, PPAP, FAI and capability studies.
  • Lead 8D RCA investigations and drive corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop suppliers to meet F1-level precision and reliability.
  • Monitor quality metrics: PPM, defects, on-time delivery; escalate risks.
  • Create and implement product control plans with engineering input.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing and race teams.
