Engelhart in London seeks a Principal Data Engineer to own the intraday and end-of-day data serving layer between the CTRM platform and downstream consumers. You will shape architecture, standards and practices to deliver trusted, timely data across finance, risk and reporting teams.

The role is hands-on and leadership-focused, requiring production ClickHouse experience, columnar OLAP expertise, and strong collaboration with stakeholders. Join a growth-oriented team driving data excellence.

Formación

• Designing and building data warehouses is essential.
• Hands-on production experience with ClickHouse is required.
• Experience delivering a columnar OLAP data platform in production.
• Practical experience with Kafka and event-driven/streaming architectures.
• Strong Python engineering with C# literacy to work with existing systems.

Responsabilidades

• Own the intraday and end-of-day data serving layer between CTRM platform and downstream consumers.
• Design and maintain robust data schemas and serving contracts (SQL, APIs, Kafka).
• Define data versioning, as-of timestamps, and reproducible runs.
• Own the CTRM-to-warehouse data pipeline; ensure reliable ingestion and delivery.
• Lead the data warehouse serving layer to production readiness.
• Set standards for data modelling, quality, observability, testing, and ops.
• Build and operate with ClickHouse, S3, Kafka and schema tooling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define needs and data contracts.
• Provide technical leadership and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Shape longer-term data architecture as business needs evolve.
