Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a senior legal professional to advise on complex contractual, commercial and legal matters throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the Senior Principal Counsel to protect McDermott's contractual position and manage risk, with strong drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to work independently with escalation of material matters.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8–12 years post-qualification experience in major projects, construction, energy or comparable commercial environments.
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal and contractual support for assigned projects.
• Review and advise on EPC bids, tender terms and contracts, identifying material legal and contractual risks.
• Draft, review and negotiate contractual documents and notices.
• Support claims and disputes, developing legal strategy and preserving rights.
• Coordinate with project, commercial, finance and other functions to provide practical advice.
