Qualifications

• Strong background in Corporate ESG Advisory services at Principal Consultant level.
• Undergraduate degree in environmental studies, engineering, sustainability, or related discipline.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Well-developed professional network.
• Experience in sustainability consulting or corporate ESG leadership.
• Experience with ESG frameworks and standards such as ESRS/CSRD, IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, and GRI.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for ESG advisory services in the UK.
• Lead the definition of current and future market opportunities, market drivers, and service offerings for ESG advisory work.
• Support the creation and execution of a go-to-market strategy aimed at growth.
• Prepare tender responses and contribute to larger bid submissions with Bid Support Team.
• Stay up to date with ESG trends, legislation, standards, and developments.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Provide support, leadership, and mentoring to team members.
• Ensure projects are delivered on budget and to required quality standards.

About the Role

As Principal Consultant for Corporate ESG Services, you will lead the development and management of the ESG advisory offering within the broader ESG Corporate Services Business Unit, with guidance from the Business Unit Manager. This role combines commercial leadership with technical oversight, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard while also driving business growth and development. You will serve as a key technical authority and expert reference point for project delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for ESG advisory services in the UK.
• Lead the definition of current and future market opportunities, key market drivers, and service offerings for ESG advisory work.
• Support the creation and execution of a strong, forward-looking go-to-market strategy aimed at achieving significant commercial growth.
• Prepare tender responses for client opportunities and contribute to larger bid submissions in coordination with the Bid Support Team where required.
• Stay up to date with ESG trends, legislation, national and international standards, guidelines, and technical developments.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Provide support, leadership, and mentoring to team members.
• Ensure projects are delivered on budget and to the required quality standards.

• Demonstrated experience in sustainability consulting or corporate ESG leadership, with a proven ability to deliver complex and high-impact projects.

• The ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, while helping shape strategic sustainability decisions.
