Consultant – Global Supply Chains & Responsible Business

About the Role

We are supporting a highly regarded boutique advisory firm that is entering its next phase of growth. The firm works with senior stakeholders across complex global supply chains, helping organisations strengthen responsible business practices, manage risk and build long-term capability.

As part of this evolution, the consultancy is expanding its core team and is seeking an experienced Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality client work, supporting team development and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

This role offers genuine exposure to senior clients, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to help shape how a growing advisory business operates.

The Role Purpose

The Consultant will take ownership of client deliverables and key relationships, lead project workstreams, and support the development of colleagues. The role sits at the heart of the firm’s delivery model and requires a blend of strong technical capability, commercial judgement and excellent stakeholder management.

Candidate Profile

Education
  • Undergraduate degree required; Master’s degree preferred (e.g. Sustainability, Political Science, Law, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related discipline)
  • Strong academic background
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant field such as consulting, professional services, research, ESG, human rights, corporate responsibility, operations or similar
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of high-quality consulting practices and professional client engagement
  • Sound knowledge of global supply chains and responsible business, ESG or human rights-related topics
  • Technical expertise in one or more relevant advisory or strategic focus areas
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong judgement and prioritisation in fast-moving environments
  • Ability to lead and mentor colleagues, contributing to a positive team culture
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking capability
  • Comfortable adapting to evolving project demands and ambiguity
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel)

Key Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Own day-to-day communication with senior client and partner stakeholders
  • Anticipate communication risks and handle sensitive matters with discretion
  • Coach junior team members on producing clear, professional communications
Meetings, Calls & Presentations
  • Lead preparation for significant client and partner meetings
  • Chair and contribute confidently to senior-level calls
  • Present complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Support and model best-practice facilitation for colleagues
Project Delivery & Oversight
  • Lead and oversee complex projects operating across multiple geographiesIdentify risks, dependencies and capacity constraints early
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
Business Development & Firm Growth
  • Support senior leadership with business development activity and pipeline planning
  • Contribute ideas to improve ways of working, knowledge management and team effectiveness
  • Play an active role in shaping a growing consultancy environment
  • Mentor Analysts and junior team members through feedback and coaching
  • Be a dependable, collaborative presence within the team
Data Analysis & Insight
  • Analyse and synthesise complex qualitative and quantitative information
  • Tailor insights and outputs to different audiences and levels of seniority
