Job summary

CBRE seeks a Principal Terraform Cloud Engineer in London to lead AI/ML and cloud FinOps data pipelines that power cost management across multiple clouds. You will design robust data models, build modular microservices, and implement end-to-end data delivery with strong governance and observability.

You will collaborate with FinOps analysts, cloud engineers, and platform leads to push advanced data capabilities, including generative AI interfaces for cost insights and scalable MLOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred relevant experience.
• Hands-on data engineering in production environments: ELT/ETL pipelines, lakehouses, data warehouses, and large-scale analytical workloads.
• Applied AI/ML engineering experience with a track record of delivering models into production.
• Software or platform engineering experience building APIs, microservices, or backend services in a cloud environment.
• Experience working with cloud billing data, FinOps tooling, or cloud cost management across at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Ingest billing, usage, and tagging data from multiple clouds into CBRE's FinOps data store.
• Design layered data models and transformations using dbt, Spark, and cloud-native services.
• Develop reusable data transformation components for FinOps pipelines.
• Manage end-to-end production pipelines, including orchestration, scheduling, and incident response.
• Apply data quality and observability frameworks to ensure data accuracy and freshness.
• Build data assets to power FinOps dashboards and AI/ML model inputs.
