Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology Department. This full-time or part-time role involves the following shift patterns:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 0900-1700 (flexible hours can be discussed)

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting a Principal Clinical Psychologist in Neuropsychology to work within Rehabilitation. The role involves autonomous practice, delivering excellent patient care, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality neuropsychological rehabilitation services to adult neurological patients on the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. You will join a growing team of Neuropsychologists involved in diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitation services.

As an autonomous practitioner, you will conduct advanced psychological and neuropsychological assessments, develop formulations, and provide direct and indirect interventions, ensuring the service is informed by the latest evidence and expert knowledge.

Job responsibilities

What will your duties include?

  • Utilising a range of psychological assessment and intervention strategies, integrating complex data from various sources.
  • Delivering high-quality neuropsychology services to all patients.
  • Providing expertise on the management of neurological patients, supporting and advising junior staff and other health professionals within the service and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Participating in education and training of junior staff and other healthcare professionals in managing psychological disorders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Essential: Training in Clinical Psychology to doctoral standard (or equivalent for those trained before 1996), accredited by the BPS.
  • Desirable: Post-qualification training in Clinical Neuropsychology (e.g., Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology).

Professional Registration

  • Essential: Current registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical).

Experience

  • Essential: Postgraduate experience in neuropsychology, including specialist assessment and treatment of inpatient neurological patients.

Additional requirements

  • This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
  • Applicants must hold current UK professional registration.
