Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead civil design activities at Hattersley with hybrid working. The role involves travel between client offices in Warrington and project sites, coordinating multi-disciplinary design efforts and ensuring safety, quality and efficiency across turnkey and engineering contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of water and sewage treatment processes.
• Experience managing design teams for water/sewage projects.
• Membership of a professional institution or nearing chartership.
• Civil Engineering degree is preferred; HND acceptable as minimum.

Responsibilities

• Produce cost-effective design layouts that are constructible and commissionable.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines and ensure standard practices are used.
• Provide estimates and feedback to Proposals department.
• Develop and monitor design procedures to improve department efficiency.
• Maintain records and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Supervise and develop staff; promote a safe working environment.
• Reduce waste and consider environmental factors in designs.
• Ensure designs meet health and safety requirements.
