Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead civil design across Renewables & Transmission and Distribution in the UK. The role supports growth of energy projects and requires delivering multi-disciplinary designs with UK standards.

The successful candidate will operate in a hybrid office model from multiple UK locations, guide junior staff, and liaise with clients and major energy providers to ensure technical excellence and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects for the Energy Transition industry.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and liaise with clients.
• Strong report writing and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design for energy projects from feasibility to construction.
• Ensure designs meet UK standards (BS EN, Eurocodes, CDM).
• Mentor junior engineers and manage client communications.
