Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking Principal Civil Engineers for the UK division to lead civil/structural design across power generation and HV transmission projects. The role offers hybrid working in multiple UK locations and diverse opportunities to advance within the team.

The successful candidate will manage projects, coordinate with architectural/electrical disciplines, and deliver FEED, drawings, and specifications while ensuring quality and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license is advantageous.
• Strong structural engineering knowledge with codes.
• Experience with SAP2000/ETABS and BIM workflows.
• Proven project leadership and proposal writing ability.
• Excellent communication and coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Project management for civil/structural initiatives.
• Prepare planning drawings and FEED deliverables.
• Lead design coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop specifications and cost estimates.
• Assess existing structures for reuse and integrity.
