Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to support its expanding energy team across the UK. The role involves delivering multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure projects within the energy sector, including renewables and grid connections.

Based in one of our offices (Manchester or other UK locations) with a flexible hybrid working model. You will drive technical excellence, lead design delivery, and mentor junior engineers while engaging with major energy clients.

Qualifications

• Req. BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status with ICE or actively pursuing it.
• Experience on Energy Transition multi-disciplinary projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead verifier on technical feasibility and design reports.
• Liaise with clients; manage project work and deliver within timescale and budget.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams across civil infrastructure.
• Lead and manage design of roads, drainage, civil structures, and external works.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings and specs to UK standards.
