This consultancy is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. To be considered, you should live within a commutable distance to Leeds. You will join a growing team that values the development and training of its workforce.

The role:

• Maintain and develop technical or management capability through CPD, attending internal and external training seminars, and presenting key points to colleagues.
• Work across different offices as part of a multidisciplinary team on various projects, taking direction from the lead engineer.
• Provide technical leadership in at least one core skill of the business and understand how other core skills are coordinated.
• Manage external resources and suppliers, challenging designs, fees, programme, and reviewing terms and conditions where appropriate.
• Review concept designs, provide value engineering solutions, and present benefits to clients and the design team.
• Understand the stages of design and the detailed output required at each stage within your expertise.

What you need to succeed:

• Engineer with extensive relevant workplace experience
• Knowledge of the full engineering/development process
• Degree or HNC level education with relevant further learning
• Professional qualification to IEng level or above
• Self-motivated and ambitious
