Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Principal Engineer - Building Services to define technical policy and support ambitious, future-ready projects across the transmission network. You will craft and own mechanical services specs for substations, drive reviews, and contribute to industry standards at ENA, IEC and CIGRE.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or pursuit thereof, extensive design experience in data centres or substations, and effective liaison with engineering teams and external

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status or commitment to pursue chartered status.

Responsibilities

Write, maintain and own mechanical services specifications for substation systems.
Review and update specifications based on lessons learned and new standards.
Approve tests and records as part of Technical Authority reviews.
