Sweco Building Control is the leading Building Control consultancy in England and Wales, providing expertise as a Registered Building Control Approver since 1998. We are seeking a motivated Principal Building Control Surveyor to join our team in Bristol. The role offers a hybrid working model, typically 3 days in the office or on-site and 2 days remote, depending on project needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertaking plan checks for Building Regulation approval.
• Conducting site visits, preparing reports, witnessing tests (a valid driving license is essential).
• Attending client and design meetings to provide professional advice.
• Using management systems and complying with quality standards.
• Managing project costs and timelines.

Applicants should have MRICS, MCABE, or MCIOB qualifications (or be working towards them) and experience in a similar role. Registration as a Class 2 General Building Inspector is required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to develop business and expand workload.
