We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Level Chartered Building Surveyor to join our established Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team.

The core responsibilities will relate to transactional based instructions across the UK with the opportunity to assist on pan-European projects. The workload will include technical advisory, professional, and heritage project work, with flexibility to accommodate the specific skills and aspirations of the applicant.

The successful candidate should be technically excellent, with broad experience in commercial surveying, including Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Condition Surveys. The ability to manage multiple instructions and work effectively under deadlines is essential. The role involves service delivery as part of a larger team, supporting client outcomes, and direct client communication.

The candidate must manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure profitability of instructions. The key focus will be on TDD advice and reporting, identifying risks, severity, and mitigation recommendations. The role includes professional work across various building types, primarily commercial, with some heritage projects.

This position offers significant responsibility, with opportunities for managerial and technical development within a growing team. The candidate will manage and undertake technical consultancy commissions, ensure effective communication, liaise with project managers, and support mentoring junior surveyors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualified
  • Excellent technical ability
  • Broad thinker with a global view and successful delivery track record
  • Ability to manage project risk and meet tight deadlines
  • High-quality standards and understanding of transaction processes, funder requirements
  • Technical and legislative knowledge with commercial awareness
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client relationship building
