Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Chartered Bridge Engineer to support site supervision and contract management on a major highway project in Scotland. The role focuses on overseeing contractor activities, ensuring quality, and advising on contractual matters.

You will work closely with the project team to deliver construction excellence within schedule and budget, leveraging extensive bridge construction site experience and familiarity with contract forms such as measure and value and design

Qualifications

• Chartered civil engineer with site experience on bridge construction.
• Experience monitoring contractor quality systems and assessing claims.
• Experience as assistant to the Employer’s Representative on multiple contract forms (measure and value, design and build).
• Knowledge of supervision of steel construction and cable-supported structures is advantageous.

The Role

In this role, you will support site supervision and contract management on a major highway project in Perth & Kinross. Your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing contractor activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, assessing claims, and advising on contractual matters. You will work closely with the project team to deliver construction excellence within schedule and budget.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

• Proven Chartered civil engineer with site experience of bridge construction on highway schemes.
• Extensive knowledge of monitoring contractors’ quality systems and assessing claims.
• Experience as an assistant to the Employer’s Representative on various contract forms, including “measure and value” and “design and build”.
• Knowledge of supervision of steel construction and cable-supported structures is beneficial.
• NEC4 Supervisor qualification is advantageous.
