Principal/Associate Electrical Engineer, Plymouth

Location: Plymouth, United Kingdom

Salary: £55 - 75k (DOE)

A leading and highly reputable Building Services client located in Plymouth is seeking a Principal/Associate Electrical Engineer to join their team. The company is an independent Building Services Consultancy providing national coverage, specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Sustainable Design services. They are looking for a candidate to lead their Electrical Team and expand this team in Plymouth due to their project pipeline.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of projects from inception to completion, overseeing team workload and quality of delivery.
• Maintaining key client relationships and maximizing opportunities for repeat business.
• Managing engineers and technicians daily, including appraisals, staff training, and development.
• Supporting local marketing events.
• Preparing financial and technical proposals and attending interviews.
• Conducting high-level technical/quality reviews of specifications, reports, and drawings.
• Ensuring adherence to professional standards.
• Forecasting workload and planning resources accordingly.
• Implementing company policies related to Finance, HR, H&S, and IT.
• Maintaining PRDB for project and cost monitoring.
• Monitoring fee expenditure against project progress.
