Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer within the Applied Innovation (of AI) Engineering team in the CDAO Technology Group. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced AI products while collaborating with software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver trusted solutions.

You will contribute to long-term projects driving innovation and business growth, while supporting inclusive and technically excellent practices across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven programming/scripting skills with Python, Golang, TypeScript in AWS/Cloud
• Experience with GPT, LLM, RAG, GenAI, and prompt engineering
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments
• Experience with CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Knowledge of synchronous/asynchronous APIs and concurrency

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineers, data scientists and product owners to deliver production-ready products
• Builds and maintains data pipelines for analytics, model evaluation, and training with versioning and compliance
• Creates innovative software solutions and tackles complex technical problems
• Provides feedback to improve architecture governance and practices
• Writes secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code
• Identifies hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system design
• Guides teams and vendors with technical direction and delivery best practices
• Defines guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams
