Job summary

Grip.Events is seeking a Principal AI & Data Engineer to own the data foundations and AI infrastructure that underpin the entire Grip platform. You will standardize data modelling, storage, governance and serving across analytics, search, and agentic products.

You’ll partner with squad Principal and Senior Engineers, guiding data contracts, telemetry, and privacy practices while building scalable, observable data pipelines for real-time and batch workloads.

Qualifications

• Proven track record owning data architecture at scale in a production SaaS environment.
• Strong experience with operational databases and analytical data warehouses.
• Experience building and scaling data pipelines (batch and streaming) with high reliability and low latency.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tooling and agentic systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own platform-wide data architecture and data modelling standards across Engage, Manage and Agentic systems.
• Design and build data infrastructure powering analytics, search, recommendations, and AI/agentic features.
• Scale data pipelines for high-volume event data, with robust monitoring and reliability.
• Ensure real-time data availability for Agentic products and MCP-based tools.
• Set data contracts and governance standards across squads.
• Drive GDPR-compliant data handling and privacy practices across the stack.
• Champion data quality, observability, and platform-wide best practices.
